Tarra has completed her Masters of Counselling at Adler University in 2022, and is currently licensed with BCACC as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She completed her practicum with Alpenglow Counseling in Terrence BC. She grew up in Spruce Grove in a small city outside Edmonton, however, has lived in various cities across Canada and abroad. She enjoys traveling, being in nature, the sun, and hot weather. She has two young daughters and is still adjusting to the roller coaster ride of motherhood.
The path to becoming a therapist is Tarra’s second career, but she describes it deeper than that. She attributes her ongoing journey as a client in therapy as pivotal to moving her life forward. It has helped her to face her own internal critic and gain the courage to reclaim a part of herself. Providing therapy is what she describes as her fulfilling energy, and is both excited and humbled by this.
Tarra’s approach to therapy is relational. She specializes in general anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or any area that a client feels stuck in their life. She operates from an existential and humanistic perspective and her approach to the therapeutic relationship is egalitarian, collaborative, accepting, and empowering. She is honoured and considers it a privilege to walk with you on your journey, and is immensely looking forward to connecting with you.
